Learn a Foreign language the geek way

September 19th, 2007

I have always been fascinated with foreign languages but have not taken very many classes in them (Engineering curriculum was hard enough already). Fortunately, web gurus are hard at work to bring you the latest technology has to offer. About a year ago, many podcasts were available (many still are). The nice thing about podcasts is that you can just plug your iPod into the car and speak along with the hosts. The problem is that there are thousands of language podcasts out there and hundreds within each language.

Mango is a web-based language “library.” It is powered by flash and contains lessons for various languages. It is currently in beta but already has quite a library of learning materials.
