I love source code

That’s right, am I am not ashamed of it either.

Why do I love computer code? Because it tells you exactly what you need to know. No more … no less.

Scenario: Someone hands you an application to work on (or you look at your own code from months ago) and says make change X, Y, and Z. As another variable, let’s say that the documentation is lacking [as I often don't update my documentation as much as I should :( ].

I can take that code, and read it and get an honest assessment of what exactly the application will do and make my changes from there. In my experience, I’ve been able to backtrack something like this pretty quickly (granted I have plenty of caffine).

Bonus if the application is also kept in an SVN repository. Anyway, I just thought I’d say

End of Summer Recap

So at the beginning of the summer, I announced that I would be changing the subject content of this blog to focus on web design and the web design business plus maybe a few other stuff.

So far I have started out by telling the story of how I got started in the web development profession. I have also posted a tip on javascript problems in Vista.

I got off to a great start in June, then took a vacation and then got really really busy at work. So I haven’t had too much time to write any posts.

But, I am going to press on and try to come up with some good stuff with hopes that it will help someone out there get started in web design.
